Abu Mu’aaz

After finished work tomorrow morning at 7am, went back to Puchong first for a short nap… the original plan was, after launch (makan kambing biri-biri ) will go back to Banting. But before launch got stomach ache and then rain… too tired to drive to Banting and then drive back at 10pm to Cyberjaya for work. So I decided to stay in Puchong and will meet Mu’aaz and his mother tomorrow morning together with Mu’aaz’s grandparents that just arrived from Perlis this afternoon.

From the picture you can’t really see spots of hair all over Mu’aaz’s head But I think for a first timer, I did a great job Plus concern grandparents staring impatiently for me to finish shaving Mu’aaz’s head

At office now… feeling tired… sequence of activities for today:

1. Went to Klinik Desa (village clinic) Pulau Meranti to inform them that my wife has give birth.
2. Drop by the office to fax something and clear things up with HR on my employment.
3. Went to JPN Putrajaya to register Mu’aaz – got his IC number already
4. Went to Kota Warisan sales office to clear things up with “extra” charge they force me to pay.

5. Went back to Banting to “Kojak” Mu’aaz Will write separate post on this.
6. Drive in the rain from Banting to Cyberjaya for work.

Tomorrow I’ll shave off all hairs on Mu’aaz head (refer picture above) Yesterday I already bought a RM17 Gillette For Women SensorExcel

and a RM16 made in Germany baby scissor!

Will be an exciting day tomorrow – I hope

Why shaves Mu’aaz’s head?

Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) made the following as Sunnah for us when we get a new born baby: 1- To shave clean his/her head seven days after his/her birth, to weigh the hair and give its weight from silver or gold or their money equivalent as alms. 2- To slaughter a sheep for the girl and two sheep for the boy. 3- To give him/her a good and nice name. al-Bukhari narrated from Sulaiman Ibn Amir al-Dabi () said that Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Aqiqah” (one or two sheep) should be slaughtered for the newborn, shed blood on behalf of him/her and take out any nuisances (that could be stuck to his/her body). Ashab al-Sunan (Abu Dawood, al-Nasa‘i, Ibn Majah, al-Tirmizi) narrated from Samura () he said: Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Every new born is mortgaged to his/her Aqiqah, it should be slaughtered on behalf of him/her on his/her seventh day. He should be given a name on that same day and his head clean shaved”. A sound Hadith. Allah knows best.

And for the Aqiqah, my dad will slaughter 2 sheeps tomorrow at Perlis on my behalf and bring the already cooked sheeps here on Wednesday… can’t wait

Will register Mu’aaz at JPN Putrajaya also tomorrow.

Alhamdulillah…

On 15-November-2006 at 2.37 PM, my 1st child was born at Hospital Putrajaya. A baby boy weight 2.36KG at that time, quite small – I think the normal weight would be between 2.5KG to 3.5KG for Malaysian baby. I named him myaaz3 Mu’aaz (معاذ) which means the protected one and also name of one of the nabi SAW sahabah (Mu’aaz Bin Jabal).
